PRESCOTT, Wis. – The UW-River Falls women's golf team opened its 2024 fall slate hosting the Falcon Invite Aug. 31-Sept. 1 at Clifton Highlands Golf Course, finishing with a team score of 684 (+108) to finish fifth of 13 teams.
UW-Stout took home the team title with a score of 633 (+33), including the top three finishes individually.
After shooting a team score of 350 on Saturday, all but one Falcon improved their scores during Sunday's round for a team score of 334.
UWRF's two-day team score of 684 is the second-best in program history, and the best since the Falcons compiled a score of 669 at the DIII Classic in 2022.
Sydney Burgess and Lauren Skov led the way for the Falcons, both carding 36-hole scores of 169 (+25) to finish tied for 13th among 74 golfers.
