MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its 2025 men's soccer postseason awards on Thursday, Nov. 6, with Carter Eklund, Mateo Gonzalez, and Sorel Richardson named to the All-WIAC First Team.
In addition, Gabriel Abad Lobo was an Honorable Mention and Josh Villanueva was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Carter Eklund, a sophomore transfer from UW-Platteville and a native of Andover, Minn., finished second on the team this fall with 1,449 minutes played, and was one of two Falcons to start in all 17 games and shared the team lead with three assists.
A freshman midfielder from Concord, Calif., Mateo Gonzalez played in 14 games with four starts for the Falcons, totaling four points with a goal and two assists.
Sorel Richardson, now a two-time All-WIAC First Team honoree, played in all 17 games this season and led the Falcons with five goals. The junior midfielder from Alameda, Calif., ranked fourth in the WIAC with 2.4 shots per game.
The native of Madrid, Spain, Gabriel Abad Lobo earns Honorable Mention laurels, playing in all but one game this season, totaling 960 minutes played.
Josh Villanueva, a freshman midfielder from Richmond, Calif., shared the team scoring lead with Richardson for UWRF, totaling 10 points with four goals and two assists.
