Falcon Football Announces 2025 Schedule

RIVER FALLS, Wis. – UW-River Falls head football coach Matt Walker announced the 2025 football schedule, released April 11, 2025.

UWRF is coming off a fourth consecutive winning season, turning in a 7-3 overall record and 4-3 WIAC ledger during the 2024 campaign. The Falcons were also undefeated on their home turf with a 5-0 mark from Smith Stadium at Ramer Field, capped off by a win over nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh - the team's second win over a ranked opponent in 2024. The Falcons also upset No. 7-ranked Alma College on the road in the season opener as quarterback Kaleb Blaha became the program's all-time leader in total offense.

In 2024, the Falcons had the top offense in the WIAC with 444.8 yards of total offense per game while also maintaining the best scoring defense in the league with 39.7 points against per contest along with 24 forced turnovers. Five Falcons were selected to the All-WIAC First Team and five earned All-Region laurels.

"We're very excited to take on such a challenging schedule in 2025," said Walker. "While preseason rankings are still a ways off, the strength of our opponents is already clear. With Alma's recent playoff success, Coe coming off a nine-win season and a national playoff appearance, and the overall depth and talent in the WIAC, it's very possible that over 70% of our schedule could feature teams ranked in the top 25."

The 2025 schedule features four regionally ranked opponents and a pair that finished in the final 2024 top 25 national rankings. In addition, all but three of the 2025 opponents were ranked in the top 25 national polls at least once during the 2024 season and finished the year by receiving votes.

UWRF hosts Alma College on Saturday, Sept. 6 for the 2025 home opener and travels to UW-Oshkosh on Oct. 4 for the WIAC opener.
