HASTINGS, Minn. – The UW-River Falls women's golf team took seventh of 11 teams at the Gustie Spring Classic with a 36-hole team score of 679 (+103) April 12-13 at Emerald Greens Golf Course, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College.
Macalester College took home the team title with a score of 635 (+59), including three in the top 10 player leaderboard.
UWRF carded a day one score of 343 on Saturday and improved by seven strokes during round two on Sunday with a score of 336 - the Falcons' third best team score this season.
Lauren Skov shot a career-low round of 78 on Sunday for a two-day score of 160 (+16), finishing tied for sixth of 68 golfers. In addition, Sydney Burgess shot an 80 on Saturday, a personal best score as she finished inside the top 20, tied for 19th with a 36-hole score of 167.
Next weekend, the Falcons are set to head to Waterloo, Iowa to compete at the Waterloo Intercollegiate meet, hosted by Hawkeye Community College.
