WATERLOO, Iowa – The UW-River Falls women's golf team placed second of five teams with a 36-hole team score of 670 (+94) April 18-19 at the Hawkeye Spring Invite at Gates Park Golf Course, hosted by Hawkeye Community College.
The Falcons accumulated team scores of 337 on Friday and 333 (2nd best this season) on Saturday. UWRF's two-day team score of 670 marks the second-best all-time at UWRF, one stroke shy of the program record of 669 set in 2022.
The University of Dubuque took home the team title with a score of 619, including four golfers among the top five finishers.
Individually, three Falcons finished inside the top 10, led by
Lauren Skov's fifth place finish with a score of 161 (+17). After carding an 83 on Friday, Skov improved her score by five strokes on Saturday for a 78 - tying her career-low set just a week ago.
Behind Skov,
Sydney Burgess took eighth (82-83--165) and
Kate Garbow placed ninth (86-82--168).
