Falcons wrap up spring season placing fifth at UW-Stout Invite

WATERLOO, Iowa – The UW-River Falls women's golf team placed fifth among 11 teams with a team score of 343 (+59) on Sunday at Tanglewood Greens Golf Course, competing at the UW-Stout Spring Invite.

It marked UWRF's third top-five finish as a team this spring. The host Blue Devils claimed the team title, shooting 32-over-par.

Individually, Lauren Skov led the Falcons, carding a 79 (+8) to tie for fifth among 62 golfers. Skov has now recorded three rounds under 80 this spring as she previously set career-low rounds of 78 at the Gustie Spring Invite and the Hawkeye Spring Invite.

Behind Skov, Kate Garbow shot an 82 to place 12th.

The Falcons combined to shoot three birdies on the day, one each from Skov and Garbow, along with one by Grace Gabriel.
