RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls football team is ranked No. 19 in the 2025 D3football.com Top 25 Preseason Poll.

The D3football.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country. Points are awarded on a 25-24-23-22-etc. basis.

It marks the fourth year in a row in which UWRF has been ranked among the Top 25 in the D3football.com preseason poll. In 2024, the Falcons were ranked No. 17. Coming off a fourth consecutive winning season, UWRF is slated to open the 2025 campaign at home against Alma College on Sept. 6. The Scots received 31 votes in the preseason poll.

The 2025 UWRF schedule features a trio of D3football.com 2025 preseason top 25 ranked opponents in WIAC foes UW-La Crosse, UW-Platteville, and UW-Whitewater. In addition, all but three of the 2025 opponents were ranked in the top 25 national polls at least once during the 2024 season and finished the year by receiving votes.
