LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – UW-River Falls football senior linebacker
Gage Timm has been names one of six regional finalists for the 2025 Cliff Harris Award in NCAA Division III, recognizing the top defensive players from each region.
Timm, a native of Shawano, Wis. represents Region 6 after leading the Falcons to their first national championship in program history. The D3FB Huddle Defensive Player of the Year, D3football.com Region 6 Defensive Player of the Year, and the WIAC Defensive Player of the Year, Timm led the team in 2025 with 127 total tackles, adding 16 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, four pass breakups and three quarterback hurries while anchoring the UWRF defense.
Other Division III regional finalists include Jason Bateman of Eastern University from Region 1, Galen Limantour of Susquehanna University from Region 2, Dominick Williams of East Texas Baptist University from Region 3, Kaleb Brown of the University of Mount Union from Region 4, and John Sullivan of North Central College from Region 5.
Finalists and winners are selected by the committee at D3football.com. The Cliff Harris Award honors the top defensive players across NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA football.
The Division III winner will be announced later this year.
