The UW-River Falls women's basketball team hits the road Wednesday night for a WIAC rematch against the UW-La Crosse Eagles. Looking to build off an upset victory over nationally ranked UW-Platteville this past Saturday.
The Falcons are coming off a 62-60 road win over No. 18 UW-Platteville, earning their second victory this season against a ranked opponent. Wednesday's matchup presents another opportunity for the Falcons to carry momentum into the heart of conference play.

THE SERIES
UW-La Crosse leads the all-time series 20-12, with River Falls holding an 8-8 record at home. The Falcons dropped a 52-47 loss earlier this season in River Falls on Jan. 3.
In that first matchup, UWRF led at halftime and held UW-La Crosse to just 40.4 percent shooting, but the Eagles used a strong fourth quarter to pull away.
Zoey Buchan finished with 11 points and four assists, while
Olivia Boily added 10 points and five rebounds off the bench.

Zoey Buchan leads UWRF in scoring with 13.7 points per game, shooting 38.9 percent from three-point range and 85.7 percent from the free-throw line this season.
Emily Anderson has been a consistent perimeter threat, averaging 9.0 points per game and shooting 40.7 percent from beyond the arc.
UWRF enters the matchup with an 11-7 overall record and a 4-3 mark in WIAC play, averaging 58.4 points per game while holding opponents to 54.7 points per contest.
The Falcons force 16.8 opponent turnovers per game and rank among the conference leaders with 8.2 steals per game.
