The UW-River Falls softball team enters their final week of WIAC play with three matchups on the schedule. The Falcons (8-24, 1-8 WIAC) will host UW-La Crosse on Wednesday at Faye Perkins Stadium (Autism Speaks Awareness Game) for a 2 p.m. doubleheader. River Falls then travels to UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, May 2 for another conference twin bill beginning at 2 p.m., before returning home on Sunday, May 3 to resume a suspended game against UW-Platteville.

- The week concludes Sunday as the Falcons resume their suspended game against UW-Platteville. In the original doubleheader, River Falls dropped game one 2-8 but started to rally in game two with four runs in the fifth inning to tie the game before rain forced a stoppage. With the game set to resume in the fifth, the Falcons will begin with two on base as they look to continue that mid-game rally.

- UW-River Falls has been led by standout sophomore Caitlyn Kressel, who is hitting .400 on the season with 38 hits, six doubles, three home runs, and 18 RBI. She has also been flawless defensively, posting a 1.000 fielding percentage behind the plate. Addison Eaton comes into the week batting .326 with a team-high 22 RBI while adding 11 stolen bases.
- Lacie Lilyquist has started all 31 games for the Falcons and is hitting .284 with 19 RBI, providing consistency in the middle of the lineup. Ella Stuber leads the team in runs scored (20) and stolen bases (17).
- Hailey Kincaid leads the team in the circle with 65.1 innings pitched, adding three complete games, while Brooklyn VanGruensven adds 55.0 innings in the rotation and two complete games. Lucy Knutson has provided relief out of the bullpen with team-high 35 strikeouts.
- River Falls holds a .948 team fielding percentage and has turned 12 double plays this season. Several players, including Metzler, Peterson, and Dolan, have been perfect in their defensive chances.
