Box Score After a 1-1 last night UW-River Falls fell to UW-Superior 3-2 out at Hunt Arena tonight. UWRF now falls to 4-4-2 on the season and have not won a NCHA game. UWS moves to 8-2-1 on the season.
The first period ended scoreless with neither team being able to get an edge. The game proved to be an even battle throughout with UWRF getting the slight advantage in the shot total putting up 21 shots. UWS had 17 shots in the game.
The second period continued much like the first with neither team being able to find the back of the net. A UWRF five minute checking from behind penalty gave UWS a five on four men advantage at the end of the period. With time expiring Pat Dalbec of UWS scored the lone goal of the period off the Jeff Forsythe and Joey Massingham assist.
Zach Shrotenboer was able to tie the game at 7:12 into the third period. This was his fifth goal of the season.
Ryan Goodmanson was credited with the assist. UWS was quick to answer when Brad Phenow found the back of the net. Andy Singerhouse scored at 13:58 to give UWS a two goal lead.
UWRF made a strong attempt at a comeback when
Jake Calleja scored his first goal of the season at 14:38 off the
Sean Roadhouse and
Blake Huppert assist.

Scott Lewan who has started every game for the Falcons this season recorded 14 saves in the game.
UWRF will continue play next weekend at home vs UW-Eau Claire. The puck is set to drop at 7:05 for both those games.
