Men's Basketball Falls 70-41 to Whitewater

The UW-River Falls Falcons sputtered offensively this evening falling 70-41 at UW-Whitewater.

Ben Gresmer was the lone Falcon to hit double digits in scoring in the game. He finished 5-7 from the field and went 2-3 from behind the arc for 12 points in the game. Gresmer is shooting an impressive 62% from three point range this season.

UWRF struggled to get anyone else outside of Gresmer scoring. They finished 17-49 (34%) from the field.

The majority of the first half was back and forth between the two teams. With five minutes left in the first half UWRF was only down 22-18 between UWW went on a run to end the half behind good shooting from KJ Evans. UWW took a 31-19 lead into halftime. Evans finished with a game high 21 points. Eric Bryson added 20 points for the team and hit four three pointers. Both players led the team with five rebounds apiece.
 
The second half got physical between the two teams with a lot of battles for rebounds. UWW finished with 36 rebounds and UWRF finished with 29 boards. Connor Goodwin had a team high five rebounds for UWRF.

Ollie White finished with six points that all came in the second half and Justin Behnke finished with six points as well. The last six minutes of the game both teams played all of their subs and every Falcon on the roster saw play time.

The win is UWW's first WIAC win and improves them to 10-2 overall on the season. The Falcons drop to 6-7 on the season and are 1-3 in the WIAC.

UWRF will play next at UW-Eau Claire Wednesday Evening with tip off set for 7 p.m.
