COLFAX, Wis. – (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls Golf team competed at the UW-Stout Spring Invite over the weekend, the invite was played at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, WI. The Falcons finished the two round invite with a score of 777 strokes and lost to UW-Stout who finished with 664 strokes. 
 
The Falcons were lead by Maddie Flack shot an 84 on day one which put her in 3rd place before finishing 4th with an 88 on day two. She played very consistent par and bogey golf. She had very few holes of double-bogey or more. 
 
Miranda Ray shot 95 on day one with two birdies. On hole 18, she nearly drove the green on a short par 4. She had a couple big numbers that elevated her score to 95, but she played really well. She has shown some good improvement to her game since the start of the season. Sunday she played more consistently shooting a 94. 
 
Vienna Jude made big improvements on her 112 at River Falls Golf Club from last weekend. She shot 99 and 98. She hit the ball really well this weekend. 
 
Megan Dennis had a solid round going on Saturday before scoring 11's on holes 16 and 18 that inflated her score to a 115. She bounced back with a 103 on Sunday in the tough conditions. 
 
Megan Lee had a challenging day on Saturday posting a 138. She came back and hit the ball better on Sunday shooting a 126. 
 
It was good to see our team scores dropping from 414 at RFGC to 393 and 384 in a matter of 8 days. The efforts and focus that the ladies are putting forth in practice is paying off. 
 
The Falcons will wrap up their season Thursday we will play at the Eau Claire Country club along with UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout, and the College of St. Scholastica.
