RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls men's basketball team will travel to Superior, Wis., for two games this weekend as part of the UW-Superior Merrill Thompson Classic.

After facing Saint John's University on Friday, the Falcons with face either Finlandia or UW-Superior on Saturday, depending on Friday's outcomes.

FALCONS PICKED FIFTH IN WIAC PRESEASON POLL
Coming off a 5-4 record during the condensed 2020-21 season, UWRF went 4-3 during the conference schedule and advanced to the WIAC Semfinals with a win over UW-Whitewater before eventually falling to UW-Platteville in the WIAC Tournament. The Falcons were picked fifth in the 2021-22 WIAC Preseason Poll, as voted on by the conference head coaches and sports information directors.

UWRF returns 10 letterwinners from last year's roster, including 2021 All-WIAC Honorable Mention Noah Hanson (Sr., Eau Claire, Wis.).

Others with experience in the starting lineup include Jake Reeck (Jr., Winona, Minn.), Bryce Phillips (Sr., St. Paul, Minn.), and Dylan Parker (So., Wauwatosa, Wis.).
