FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. - The UW-River Falls women's cross country team was led by a 14th place finish from
Maria Laudenbach (So., Saint Francis, Minn.) at the University of Minnesota 35th Annual Roy Griak Invitational on Friday afternoon.
The six-kilometer race took place at Les Bolstad Cross Country course, with UWRF placing 23rd of 29 overall teams and 21st of 27 Division II and Division III teams with 628 points. The University of Mary finished first with 64 points.
Laudenbach crossed the finish line first for the Falcons with a time of 23:05.3, placing 14th among 327 total competitors.
Behind Laudenbach,
Lauren Flynn placed 109th with a time of 25:05.1. Each Falcon inside the UWRF top-seven clocked a time inside the top-200 finishers.
Rachel Anderson,
Izzi Mason,
Madeline Greelis,
Emma Deutsch, and
Abigail Faust finished third through seventh, respectively for the Falcons.

The Falcons return to action on Friday, Oct. 1, competing the the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Invite. The race is scheduled for a 5:15 p.m. start at Whitetail Golf Course.
