LAST TIME OUT
- UWRF is coming off a series sweep over No. 6-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College. On Dec. 8, 2021 in Saint, Peter, Minn., the Falcons won 6-3, and followed up with a 6-5 win on Dec. 11 in River Falls.
- It was the first time in the series history that the Falcons scored more than four goals against the Gusties.
- Callie Hoff tallied six points off three goals and three assists en route to earning WIAC Player of the Week honors.
IN THE POLLS
- The Falcons remained ranked No. 5 for the third time in a row in this week's USCHO Women's Hockey Division III poll.
- UWRF debuted at No. 4 in the national poll and were slotted at No. 4 in four consecutive weekly rankings.
FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons have outscored their six opponents 57-15, the third-best scoring margin and fourth-most goals in Division III coming into the weekend.
- UWRF is the WIAC leader on the power play with a .314 conversion rate, scoring 11 goals on 35 chances.
- In addition, the Falcons are the national leader with seven shorthanded goals.
- Fifth-year senior forward Callie Hoff (Hermantown, Minn.) is the DIII leader with 26 points off nine goals and 17 assists.
- Hoff currently ranks fourth on the UWRF women's hockey all-time scoring list.
- The senior forward trio of Callie Hoff, Abigail Stow (Eau Claire, Wis.) and Kora Torkelson (Thief River Falls, Minn.) have led the Falcons' offense, combining for 63 points (20g-43a).
- Defensively, UWRF's six shutouts is tied for second most in DIII.
- Goaltenders Sami Miller (Sr., Blaine, Minn.), Jordan O'Connor (So., Prairie du Sac, Wis.), and Pistol Cowden (So., Amherst, Wis.) each own a save percentage over .900.
- Miller's three shutouts is tied for second-most in DIII and leads the WIAC.
