THE SERIES
- Friday's game marks the 156th all-time meeting between the Falcons and Blugolds, with UWRF holding a 97-51-7 series lead. Dating back to the 2015-16 season, the series is tied at 4-4-2 record.
- The two teams previously met at Hunt Arena on Dec. 4, a 4-3 UWRF comeback win. Freshman forward Valentino Passarelli scored his first two goals, including the game-winner en route to earning WIAC Player of the Week honors.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Falcons swept UW-Superior during a home & home WIAC series last weekend, defeating the Yellowjackets by scores of 4-3 both nights. On Friday, Feb. 4, the Falcons rallied with an extra attacker goal and a Noah Ganske hat-trick game-winning goal with 12 seconds left in regulation. Ganske was named the Royal Credit Union Male Falcon of the Week and WIAC Player of the Week.
- Through two games, sophomore forward Vilho Saariluoma tallied six points off two goals and four assists, including a three-assist game on Friday.
FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons rank third in the WIAC with 2.7 goals per game and third with 2.4 goals against.
- A balanced Falcon offense has led to 11 skaters with at least three goals and eight Falcons with at least 10 points.
- Fifth-year senior forward Cayden Cahill leads the team and ranks fourth in the WIAC with 18 points (6g-12a)
- Sophomore Noah Ganske is the second-leading scoring defenseman in the WIAC with 17 points (6g-11a) in 18 games.
- Dysen Skinner has led the Falcons in net, starting in 16 of 23 games. He ranks second in the WIAC with 10 wins and ranks fourth with a 2.32 goals against average.
