FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The UW-River Falls women's lacrosse team remained undefeated with a 21-5 win at Methodist University Wednesday evening.
The Falcons improve to 4-0 overall, wrapping up its North Carolina spring trip with a pair of wins. UWRF defeated North Carolina Wesleyan 25-6 yesterday afternoon.
Senior attacker
Emma Kohlbeck, needing just three goals to reach 100 in her career, led the Falcons with five goals to surpass the century mark.
After gaining a 14-5 lead at halftime, the Falcons held the Monarchs succorless in the second half, backed by goalkeepers
Ashley Olson and
Kayden Hersback. Olson played 55 minutes and tallied nine saves en route to earning the win.
UWRF totaled season-highs in shots (54), shots on goal (42), and points (32).
Eight Falcons found their way on to the scoresheet, led by a six-point effort from Kohlbeck.
Kyla Palo tallied four goals, followed by three each from
Emily Herdine and
Bailey O'Donovan.
Grace Hannula led the team with three assists
UWRF returns home to host North Central College next Saturday, March 26.
