RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls softball team, weather barring, is set for eight games this week, featuring WIAC doubleheaders versus UW-Stout, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Platteville, and UW-La Crosse.
The Falcons open the week on Tuesday, April 19 at UW-Stout in Menomonie, Wis. UWRF then hosts home doubleheaders on Thursday and Saturday-Sunday.

FALCON NOTES
- Last week's originally scheduled games versus UW-Eau Claire and Saint Mary's were canceled due to weather.
- Most recently, UWRF opened its WIAC schedule at UW-Whitewater and UW-Oshkosh April 9-10, sweeping the Warhawks and falling to the No. 15-ranked Titans.
- The Falcons defeated UWW 6-1 and 3-2, marking the first UWRF doubleheader sweep over UWW since 2012 in which UWRF won a pair of games over the Warhawks to clinch the WIAC Tournament Championship.
- Before opening the WIAC schedule, UWRF posted an 8-3 record during its spring break trip in Florida.
- Sophomore shortstop Keegan Piton is the WIAC leader with 30 RBI, ranks second with 37 hits, and third with a .500 batting average. She led the Falcons with seven hits versus Whitewater and Oshkosh, including a three-run homer during game one at UWW, the eventual game-winning RBI's.
- In the pitcher's circle, Juliana Reynolds leads the team with a 4.02 ERA in 54 innings pitched. She ranks fifth in the WIAC with 55 strikeouts fourth with six wins.
- As a team, UWRF's .317 batting average ranks fourth in the WIAC while double total of 44 ranks third.
