LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-River Falls men's and women's track & field teams opened competition at the UW-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge on Friday.
Three Falcon men got underway in the Decathlon. After day one's events in the 100-meter dash, long jump, shot put, high jump, and 400-meter run,
Matt Boche is in 18
th with 2,517 points,
Alex VanGundy is in 20
th at 2,399 points, followed by
Carter Aakre in 21
st at 2,271 points.
Falcon throwers also opened the meet on Friday competing in the Discus Throw.
Jackie Rosenbush had the top throw for the women with a personal best mark of 112-5, finishing in 16
th of 51 throwers.
Ryan Kelling and
Brady Sindelir finished in 18
th and 19
th, respectively, in the men's Discus Throw, with marks of 119-3 and 117-5.
