FALCON NOTES
  • UWRF went 1-1 last week, defeating UW-Stout 77-67 before falling 68-55 at No. 19-ranked UW-Oshkosh. 
    • Against the Blue Devils, sophomore guard Logan Jedwabny led the Falcons with a career-high 30 points off 11-of-18 shooting and 6-of-10 from beyond the arc.
    • Against Stout and Oshkosh, Jedwabny shot 57.5% from the field and 64.3% from three-point range. Jedwabny is tied for the WIAC lead with 3.1 three-pointers made per game.
  • UWRF leads the WIAC with a 5.6 rebounding margin and 37.2 rebounds per game, led by 6.5 from Rodrick Payne.
    • Payne leads the Falcons with 16.1 points per game (4th/WIAC)
  • The Falcons were picked to finish fifth in the 2022-23 WIAC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll, coming off a 2021-22 season in which the Falcons turned in a 14-10 overall record and 6-7 WIAC finish, falling to UW-Whitewater in the second round of the WIAC Tournament. Jeff Berkhof is in his 17th season at the helm of the program.
    • Last season, Berkhof collected his 200th career win during an 83-58 win over Howard Payne in Lincoln, Neb. He follows only his predecessor, Rick Bowen, in coaching victories at UWRF with a record of 209-193.
