MENOMONIE, Wis. – The UW-River Falls women's lacrosse team defeated UW-Stout 24-2 Wednesday evening.
UWRF improves to 8-5 overall with its third-straight win.
The Falcons set season-highs with 24 goals and 45 shots while allowing a season-low goals against and tying a program record for margin of victory.
Emily Herdine led the team with six goals and two assists, along with six goal from
Holly Eckers. In addition, senior midfielder
Josie Johnson scored four goals to reach 100 in her career.
UWRF opened the game with 10 goals in a row before Stout got on the board.
The Falcons limited the Blue Devils to just five shots while forcing 24 turnovers.
Kayden Hersback made one save to earn the win in net.
