WEST SALEM, Wis. – The UW-River Falls softball team was swept in a league doubleheader at UW-La Crosse Sunday afternoon, held at West Salem High School due to poor field conditions at UWL.
The Falcon bats were held quiet by the Eagles, limited to six base hits on the day.
UWRF, now 14-14 and 2-4 during WIAC competition, returns home to host UW-Stevens Point this Wednesday, April 26 at Perkins Stadium.

The Eagles' Elise Weinzierl started game one in the pitcher's circle and threw six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts to help UWL to a game-one victory.
UWL scored seven off nine hits, including three runs in both the third and fifth innings to put the game out of reach.
UWRF scored its sole run on the day in the sixth inning as
Eleanor Hoge reached on an Eagle error, scoring
Kelly Aultman.
Jewel Waupekenay led the offense with two hits.
Maggie Wallin conceded the loss in the pitcher's circle, allowing four earned runs in five innings.
UW-La Crosse 8, UW-River Falls 0 (5 inn.)
UWL scored eight runs off six hits, scoring five in the third and three more in the fifth to end the game in five innings.
Once again, the Eagles played strong defensively, featuring a complete game pitching effort from Remington Stark, limiting the Falcons to just two base hits.
Savanna Trittelwitz took the loss for UWRF.
