MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The UW-River Falls women's lacrosse team earned a 24-3 win at Augsburg University Friday afternoon.
The Falcons, now 2-0 overall, were led by a 10-point effort from
Brooke Glumack, who scored seven goals with three assists, just one point shy of a UWRF single-game record.
Emily Herdine had 11 points against Wartburg College on March 5, 2022.
Behind Glumack, the Falcons were also paced by
Samantha Hayek. Hayek, who scored six goals with three assists on Monday at Northwestern, duplicated her scoring output against the Auggies with another nine points (6 goals, three assists).Â
UWRF outshot Augsburg 47-7 and limited the home team to a 5-of-18 rate on clears.Â
In the first period, the Falcons held the Auggies off the board while taking an 8-0 lead. UWRF added seven more in the second and led 15-1 at halftime, enough cushion to coast to victory.
Megan Peter led the Falcons with four assists, while
Emma Heerey,
Bailey O'Donovan, and
Grace Hannula each had multi-goal games.
Kayden Hersback and
Abby Hammond split time in net, with Hersback receiving the win.
