RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's lacrosse team fell 14-12 against UW-La Crosse Saturday afternoon at Ramer Field.
The Falcons' six-game win streak came to an end as their overall record dips to 10-4.
UWRF led up until the fourth quater in which UWL scored six consecutive goals to tie the game and eventual take the lead, spoiling the Falcons' Senior Day.
The Falcons held a slim edge in shots on goal, 23-20, while ground balls were deadlocked at 18-18 and a draw control total of 15-13 in favor of UWRF.
Samantha Hayek,
Brooke Glumack, and
Grace Hannula led the way with three goals each, while Hayek led the team with seven points, totaling four assists.
Kayden Hersback made six saves in net while suffering the loss.
With her second goal of the day, Hannula reached 100 career goals, following in the footsteps of her fellow seniors
Emma Heerey and
Bailey O'Donovan, who also reached the century mark in goals earlier this season.
UWRF hosts a nonconference game against Hamline University on Monday.
