RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's lacrosse team earned a 23-2 nonconference win over Hamline University Monday afternoon at Ramer Field.
The Falcons, now 11-4 overall, bounced back from a loss on Saturday with a big win over the Pipers, matching a season-high margin of victory. UWRF also put together a 21-goal win on March 8 with a 24-3 win at Augsburg University.
UWRF opened the game with seven straight goals and didn't look back, extending its lead to double digits near the midway point of the second quarter. The Falcons led 36-10 in shots on goal, went 15-for-15 on clear attempts, and caused eight Piper turnovers.
A balanced scoring attack led to 11 different Falcons in the goal scoring column, led by three goals each from
Sydney Chance-Farley,
Grace Hannula, and
Elizabeth Clough. Chance-Farley also added five assists for a career-high eight points.
Abby Hammond made a season-high eight saves in net to receive the win, improving her record to 4-0 on the season.
The Falcons head back into WIAC play thi s Friday, hosting Colorado College.
