RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's lacrosse team fell by a score of 20-1 Friday afternoon at Ramer Field.
The Tigers, who received votes in the latest IWLCA Division III National Poll, remained unbeaten during WIAC play to secure the top seed for next weekend's WIAC Tournament. The Falcons will slot in at the No. 2 seed, and as the highest Wisconsin seed, will host the May 3-4 tournament.
Colorado College outshot the Falcons 34-9 and led 20-4 in draw controls, scoring nine goals in the first period without looking back.Â
UWRF's lone goal was scored on a free position shot from
Makenna Kadrlik in the fourth quarter.
Kayden Hersback and
Abby Hammond split time in net, combining for eight saves.
The Falcons, now 11-5 overall and 5-1 during WIAC competition, close out the regular season on Monday at the College of Saint Benedict.
