The UW-River Falls men's hockey team returns to action in the new year this Saturday, completing its season series against WIAC foe UW-Stout.

THE SERIES

• Saturday marks the 137th all-time meetings between the Falcons and Blue Devils, with UWRF holding a 95-36-5 series advantage.
• UWRF and UW-Stout are facing off for a third game in a row. The Blue Devils swept a weekend series against the Falcons Dec. 12-13 with 4-1 and 3-2 victories.

FALCON NOTES

• UWRF is looking to start the 2026 calendar on the right note after an up and down start to conference play. During the weekend of Dec. 5-6, the Falcons secured wins over UW-Superior and UW-Eau Claire, but dropped consecutive games the following weekend against UW-Stout, wrapping up 2025 with a 6-6 overall record.
• The first half of UWRF's season was highlighted by power play success and the impact of the freshmen class.
  • The Falcons are the WIAC leaders with a .313 power play percentage with 10 power play goals, and the rookie trio of Keenan Ingram, Ben Portner, and Gavin Middendorf are the top three scorers in the WIAC.
  • Keenan Ingram is the WIAC's leading scorer with 16 points off 10 goals and six assists, ranking among the top 20 in the nation.
• Alex Atwill and Gavin Middendorf share the WIAC-lead with eight assists each, and Max Collette leads the league with 161 faceoff wins along with a .573 win percentage.
• Senior goaltender Brennan Boynton is the WIAC leader with a .921 save percentage with 28.3 saves per game.
