The UW-River Falls men's basketball team continues conference action this week with two challenging league contests. The Falcons will host UW-Eau Claire Blugolds on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. at Don Page Arena before traveling to face the No. 20 UW-Oshkosh Titans on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. in Oshkosh.

UWRF TO HOST EMPLOYEE & FAMILY APPRECIATION DAY SATURDAY, JAN. 17
UW-River Falls Athletics, in partnership with the Chancellor's Office, will host Employee and Family Appreciation Day on Saturday, Jan. 17, welcoming UWRF employees and their immediate family members for a full day of Falcon athletic action.
Admission is free for employees and their immediate family members with a valid UWRF employee ID. Complimentary refreshments will be available from 2-3 p.m. in the Royal Credit Union (RCU) Conference Room, located on the second floor above Page Arena. Cookies, hot cocoa, and coffee will be served during the first intermission of the women's hockey game or prior to the start of the women's basketball contest, while supplies last.
THE SERIES
The Falcons and Blugolds will meet for the 139th time in program history in one of the WIAC's longest-standing rivalries. UWRF holds a 56-86 all-time record against the Blugolds, with the series dating back to the 1917 season. The Falcons have won six of the last 10 meetings.
The Falcons will close the week on the road with a trip to Oshkosh to face the nationally ranked Titans. UWRF enters the contest winning three of the last five matchups against UW-Oshkosh. With an over-time win thriller in their last meeting on Feb. 8

FALCON NOTES
Through 14 games this season, UW-River Falls is averaging 70.1 points per game while holding a +3.6 rebounding margin, pulling down 37.7 rebounds per matchup. The Falcons are shooting 43.5 percent from the field and averaging 6.1 three-pointers per game.
Individually,
Jack Leifker continues to push the Falcons, scoring 13.1 points per game, while
Micah Thompson adds 12.4 points per game and paces the Falcons on the glass with 8.9 rebounds per contest.
Jeremy Wanguhu is averaging 13.5 points per game in limited appearances and is shooting over 40 percent from three-point range, while
Gavin Ralph contributes 9.4 points per game and leads the team in both assists and steals.
Defensively, UW-River Falls is averaging 6.4 steals and 3.6 blocks per game, using defensive pressure and rebounding to stay competitive throughout the conference slate.
