MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) released its Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of Feb. 9-15, with Samantha Hayek representing UW-River Falls as the Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week.

Hayek led the Falcon offense during the 2026 opener versus Sewanee on Saturday, Feb. 14 in Eau Claire, Wis., totaling five points with four goals and an assist. She scored in the third quarter to tie the game at 10-10, but the Falcons eventually fell 15-10. Hayek also tallied three ground balls and was 2-for-2 on free position shots.

The honor is Hayek's third WIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week award of her career. 

The Falcons (0-1, 0-0 WIAC) travel to face nationally ranked University of Chicago this Saturday, Feb. 21.
