MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) released its Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for March 16-22, with sophomore goalie Annelise Rommeck representing UW-River Falls as the Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Rommeck anchored the Falcons defensively in a pair of victories over Oglethorpe University (Ga.) and Berry College (Ga.), playing all 120 minutes in net. She totaled 20 saves and posted a .513 save percentage, while holding opponents to just 9.5 goals per game. In addition to her work in goal, Rommeck collected 12 ground balls.
The honor marks Rommeck's second WIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week award of the season and continues a strong stretch for the Falcons on the defensive end.
