SENIOR DAY
FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons went 4-1 last week, winning a non-conference matchup against UW-Superior on Wednesday and taking three of four games against UW-Oshkosh over the weekend. UWRF has now won 10 of its last 12 games and sits in third place in the WIAC.
- Shaun Gavin has been the Falcons' ace, ranking third in the WIAC with a 2.61 ERA and placing in the top 10 in strikeouts (35), innings pitched (38.0), and wins (4). Last weekend against Oshkosh, he recorded his fifth outing of the year of at least five innings while allowing two or fewer runs.
- UWRF's starting pitching had a strong week, combining for 26.1 innings with a 3.76 ERA. The standout performance came from senior Brett Sullivan, who delivered the longest outing of his career with six shutout innings.
- In Game 2 of the series against UW-Oshkosh, Daniel Kibler hit three home runs in a single game. He became the first Falcon to do so since the program's reinstatement and just the third player in the WIAC this season to accomplish the feat.
- The hottest hitter last week was Carter Klein, who went 8-for-16 with four extra-base hits, including a home run. He fell just a home run short of the cycle in Game 2 against Oshkosh on Saturday.
