The UW-River Falls baseball team returns home for a Friday-Saturday WIAC series against UW-Eau Claire. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. on both days at First National Bank of River Falls Field.
The Falcons currently sit in fourth place in the conference standings, just behind the third-place Blugolds, as they compete for a spot in the WIAC Tournament. The top four teams in the league qualify for the postseason tournament.

FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons went 1-5 last week, splitting a doubleheader with UW-Stout before being swept by No. 4-ranked UW-Whitewater over the weekend. They currently sit fourth in the WIAC standings as they battle to stay in the top four and earn a conference tournament spot.
- Shaun Gavin and Brett Sullivan have been the Falcons' most reliable starters of late, as both had quality starts last week. Gavin ranks in the top 10 in the WIAC in wins, ERA, and innings pitched. In his last two starts, Sullivan has thrown 11 innings, allowing just one earned run on nine hits.
- UWRF also saw strong bullpen performances last week, highlighted by Brayden Ramus, who pitched 5.1 innings without allowing an earned run. On Saturday, he threw three shutout innings against UW-Whitewater.
- The Falcons' offense was led by Andrew Athmann and Tanner Hraby last week, with both hitting over .350. Athmann paced the team with two doubles, a home run, five RBIs, and seven runs scored.
- River Falls continued to be aggressive on the bases, recording nine stolen bases during the week. They now rank second in the conference with 85 steals on the season.
