RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls softball team starts WIAC action this weekend, hosting UW-Platteville for a doubleheader at Faye Perkins Softball Stadium Saturday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m., with game two to follow at 2 p.m.
Saturday's doubleheader will be Senior Day as the Falcons recognize their graduating student-athletes following the conclusion of game two. Saturday will also feature Youth Day, with free admission for youth with a paying adult, the first 100 kids in attendance will receive a free scoopie courtesy of Culver's!

THE SERIES
UW-River Falls and UW-Platteville meet once again in a familiar WIAC matchup, with both programs battling annually in conference play. Historically, the Pioneers have found success in the series, holding the advantage over the Falcons (12-16) since 2010. In last season's meeting, UW-Platteville earned the doubleheader sweep over the Falcons.
FALCON NOTES
- Caitlyn Kressel has been the Falcons' most consistent bat, hitting a team-best .391 (27-for-69) with 16 RBI, four doubles, a triple, and two home runs while posting a .462 OBP and .565 slugging percentage. She has started all 22 games, remaining a key presence in the middle of the lineup.
- Addison Eaton has been a major contributor both offensively and on the basepaths, batting .320 with a team-high 20 RBI and 17 runs scored. She adds six doubles, two home runs and a .507 slugging percentage.
- UW-River Falls has been aggressive on the bases, going 65-for-73 in stolen base attempts (89%), led by Stuber (16), Eaton (16), and Gardner (7) .
- As a unit, the Falcons are hitting .280 with 166 total hits and 111 RBI, averaging over five runs per game (123 runs scored).
- Hailey Kincaid leads the staff in innings (44.1 IP) and wins (3-4 record) while striking out 25 batters. She has also thrown three complete games and two shutouts.
- Lucy Knutson owns a 3.97 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 24.2 innings, while Alexa Dusterhoft has posted a team-best 3.65 ERA across 15.1 innings.
