ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The University of Wisconsin River Falls men's cross country team finished second in their opening meet at the Crown College Invitational. The Falcons scored 60 total points and finished behind winning team Gustavus Adolphus with 15 points.
Freshman
Eric Ottosen was the top finisher for the Falcons. He finished 8
th overall in the standings, crossing the finish line with a time of 21:11. Finishing in 18
th place was freshman Sam Peters with a time of 22:25.
James Heeg and
Sawyer McCalla finished 21
st and 22
nd respectively. Heeg crossed the line with a time of 22:29 and McCalla recorded a time of 22:36. Freshman
Tristan Smith was the fifth overall finisher for the Falcons with a time of 22:51.
Joe Lezotte ran a time of 23:11 to finish 32
nd in the overall finish.
The seventh and final finisher for the Falcons was
Zach Jacoby. He finished 38
th in the overall standing with a time of 23:33.
The Falcons will compete next on September 10 at the UWRF Falcon Invite. The race will take place at Kilkarney Hills Golf Course in River Falls, WI. The meet will begin at 4:45 pm.
