MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The UW-River Falls softball team swept Crown College with a pair of 17-2 wins over Crown College Saturday morning on the campus of Augsburg University.
UWRF tallied 28 hits and allowed nine during the doubleheader against Crown, winning by the 10-run rule in both games.
Kelly Aultman led the Falcons, batting 6-for-9 at the plate with three doubles, one homer, and nine runs batted in.
Johanna Breyen,
Keegan Piton, and
Megan Halvorson followed with three hits each.

Freshman pitcher
Lindsey Duggan earned her first collegiate win during game one, allowing two earned runs in three innings pitched. Maggie Wallie then shut the door with a pair of scoreless innings.
All but three Falcon batters went without a hit, led by three-hit efforts by Aultman and Piton. Piton led UWRF with four RBI and three runs scored.

Juliana logged her second complete game of the season while recording her first win in the pitcher's circle, conceding two earned runs off four hits in five innings pitched.
The Falcons duplicated their game one score with 14 hits, led by another three hits from Aultman, which included a double, home run, and seven RBI.
Breyen, Matt Renikow, Halvorson,
Eleanor Hoge, and
Lindsey Strom also tallied a pair of base hits.
UWRF, now 3-3 overall, returns to action next weekend on the front end of its Florida spring trip.
