OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-River Falls softball team dropped both games of a WIAC doubleheader at No. 15-ranked UW-Oshkosh Sunday afternoon.
After opening their WIAC schedule on a high note yesterday with a pair of wins at UW-Whitewater, the Falcons were limited to one run through two games against the 2021 WIAC Co-Champions.
UWRF, now 13-8 overall and 2-2 in the WIAC, host UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday and Saint Mary's University on Friday during its first home games of the 2022 season at Perkins Stadium.
UW-Oshkosh 17, UW-River Falls (5 inn.)
The Titans scored runs in each of the first three innings to earn a double-digit lead, taking game one in five innings.
UWO totaled 17 hits, with six Titans tallying at least two.
Juliana Reynolds, who pitched a complete game yesterday at UW-Whitewater, allowed six earned runs in 2.1 innings pitched to suffer the loss, dropping her record to 6-3.
Lindsey Duggan pitched 1.2 innings in relief.
UWRF was held to four base hits.

During game two, the Falcons were down 1-0 after one but tied the game in the third inning off a
Johanna Breyen RBI groundout. That was all the offense UWRF could put together, though.
The Titans scored nine runs of 13 hits while starting pitcher Sydney Nemetz pitched a complete game and limited the Falcons to two hits.
Corinne Roe pitched 5.2 innings for UWRF, allowing eight earned runs.
