MENOMONIE, Wis. – The UW-River Falls softball team outscored UW-Stout 24-2 Tuesday evening, earning a WIAC doubleheader sweep over the Blue Devils.
The Falcons, now 15-8 overall and 4-2 during conference play, compiled 29 base hits through two games while limiting the Blue Devils to four. UWRF won on the eight-run rule in five innings during game one, led by a no-hitter from pitcher
Juliana Reynolds - the first of her career.

Juliana Reynolds started in the pitcher's circle and faced 19 batters, allowing zero Blue Devil base hits en route to her first career no-hitter and fifth complete game this season.
Offensively, the Falcons scored eight on nine hits, paced by a three runs in the second and four in the fifth. Seven Falcons notched at least one base hit, led by two hits apiece from
Keegan Piton and
Chapin Rappaport. Rappaport and
Grace Petersen led the team with two runs batted in each.
RBI hits from
Megan Halvorson, Rappaport, and
Hannah Richards gave UWRF a 3-0 lead in the second inning. A
Kelly Aultman RBI double in the fourth extending the lead to 4-0, and then the Falcons scored four more in the fifth and shut down the Blue Devils in the bottom half to close out the game.

Corinne Roe and the Falcon defense held Stout scoreless through five innings before the home team tallied its only runs of the day, a pair in the sixth inning. The Falcons responded quickly, exploding for 10 runs in the seventh to seal the win.
UWRF's 20 hits is a season-high and the most since the Falcons also totaled 20 versus Becker College on March 12, 2018. The offensive totals also featured season-high 16 RBI and eight doubles.
The Falcon bats carried their game one momentum into game two, earning an early 2-0 lead in the first before tacking on four more in the third to earn a 6-0 lead. It was a collective effort, with RBI's from Piton, Petersen,
Jewel Waupekenay, Halvorson, and Rappaport.
In the seventh, the Falcons put the game away while scoring 10 runs off eight hits and one Blue Devil error, including five doubles.
Roe earned the win with her fourth complete game of the season, improving her record to 3-3. Her only runs allowed were unearned while tallying five strikeouts.
All but one Falcon recorded at least one base hit, led by a 5-for-5, 3 RBI performance from
Grace Petersen. Additonally, Breyen and Piton both had three hits.
