NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2024 Academic Honor Squads along with its 2024 Academic Honor Roll, featuring UW-River Falls Women's Lacrosse garnering the team honor along with a trio Falcons recognized individually on the honor roll.
 
To be eligible for the team award the team must have posted a 3.2 GPA during the 2023-24 academic year. UWRF is one of 325 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA to earn the academic honor.
 
UWRF's Holly Eckers, Emma Heerey, and Kayden Hersback all earned a spot on the 2024 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, athletes must be at least a junior and earn an accumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Eckers and Heerey are both now two-time Academic Honor Roll recipients.

The Falcons turned in a 12-7 overall record during the 2024 season and went 5-1 during the inaugural WIAC schedule, with their sole loss coming against the eventual WIAC Tournament Champions from Colorado College. Talia Hayes and her staff were named the WIAC Coaching Staff of the Year.
