RIVER FALLS, Wis. — The UW-River Falls men's basketball team will host the No. 18 UW-Stevens Point Pointers on Wednesday, January 15 at Page Arena, the first of two home games this week at Page Arena.
The matchup against the No. 16 Pointers will mark the first of two consecutive top-25 matchups, as No. 1 UW-Platteville rounds out the week's action this Saturday at Page Arena.
The Falcons are coming off a 1-1 week, in which both games were decided by two points. UWRF lost a buzzer-beater at home against UW-Stout, before bouncing back to defeat UW-Eau Claire 67-65 on the road.

- In UWRF's victory over UW-Eau Claire, Jack Leifker led the way with 23 points and seven rebounds, while Zac Johnson totaled 20 points and two assists.
- Johnson had led UWRF's scoring efforts this season, averaging 16.0 points per game off 41.2 shooting from the field.
- As a team, the Falcons have limited opponents to 63.9 points per game, which ranks second best in the WIAC. UWRF also holds its opponents to 40.2% shooting from the field, the top defensive mark in the conference.
- UW-River Falls has been effective in the post this season, leading the WIAC in combined team rebounds with 39.1 per game. The Falcons are out-rebounding their opponents by 4.4 boards per game, which is second best in the conference.
- Leifker earned Falcon of the Week honors for the week of Dec. 29 - Jan. 5, after averaging 19.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game across UWRF's two-game stretch last week.
