ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — The UW-River Falls men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the Augustana Interregional Invitational this Saturday, Oct. 18, at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill. The men's 8k is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., followed by the women's 6k at 11:45 a.m.

Following a strong performance at the Titan Fall Classic and the Blugold Invitational, the Falcons look to continue their steady progression against a deep field of regional and WIAC opponents. The meet will serve as a key warm-up event before the WIAC Championships in two weeks.
FALCON NOTES
Men's Team
The Falcon men enter the Augustana Interregional after a 13th-place team finish among 34 programs at the Blugold Invitational, led by a balanced top five.
- Jack Richter paced UWRF in Eau Claire, Wis. with a time of 26:19.0, finishing 62nd out of 322 runners. Ryan Pierson followed closely in 71st (26:24.6).
- Wyatt Johnson (26:53.2) and Alex Pazdernik (26:54.6) turned in strong supporting times, while Logan Munson (27:04.2) rounded out the top five.
- Munson continues to anchor the lineup with veteran leadership, holding multiple entries in UWRF's all-time Top 20, including his 25:59.8 effort at the Titan Fall Classic.
Women's Team
The Falcon women notched an 11th-place finish out of 36 teams at the Blugold Invitational, led by
Laina Viere and
Adison Wilde, both of whom continue to anchor UWRF's scoring pack. The Falcons are currently ranked No. 10 in the North Region in the Week 5 rankings.
- Viere crossed in 24th overall at 23:08.5, while Wilde followed in 32nd at 23:24.7.
- The duo has been consistent front-runners all season for the Falcons, with Wilde earning multiple Top 20 All-Time marks for UWRF, including a 22:42.7 performance at the Titan Fall Classic.
- Behind them, Issabella Jeurissen (24:07.6), Jalyssa Groskreutz (24:36.9), and Peyton Opsahl (24:38.0) rounded out the top five at the Blugold Invitational.
With both squads getting ready for their last regular-season testing ground, UWRF will look to hone race strategy and gain momentum for postseason competition.
