MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its 2025 women's lacrosse postseason awards today, with five Falcons earning spots on the All-WIAC lists.
Samantha Hayek and Lilah Gilyard led the way with selections on the All-WIAC First Team. Julia Hayek earned second-team honors, Brooke Glumack was selected as Honorable Mention, and Kylah Link earned All-Sportsmanship.
Hayek, a junior from Scandia, Minnesota, started in all 17 games for the Falcons and finished with a WIAC-leading 58 goals and 81 points. She also led the conference with 146 total shots this season. Late in the season, Hayek netted her 100th career goal in a win against UW-Stout. She also finished the season ranked second all-time in assists in the UWRF record book.
Lilah Gilyard, a junior from Coon Rapids Minnesota, was an anchor for the UWRF defense that allowed the second lowest goals per game in the WIAC and forced the most caused turnovers in the conference. Gilyard totaled 46 draw controls, 23 ground balls, and 15 caused turnovers. She also tallied two points with a goal and an assist while starting in all 17 games.
Julia Hayek, a sophomore from Scandia, Minnesota, played a key role in UWRF's defensive efforts this season. Hayek started all 17 games for UWRF, totaling 31 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers.
Brooke Glumack, a junior from Scandia, Minnesota, led the WIAC with 2.29 assists per game and ranked second with 4.65 points per game. Her 39 assists this season is the second highest season total by a Falcon in the program's history. With 71 career assists, Glumack is the program's all-time leader in career assists.
As a team, UWRF posted its seventh consecutive winning season and fourth straight double-digit win total. The Falcons led the WIAC with 230 caused turnovers and ranks second in the conference with 372 ground balls and 15.59 goals per game. UWRF set a new program record for caused turnovers in a season with 230, and set a single-game record for goals scored with 28 against Augsburg in the season finale.
